Before making changes to your current process, system or components, we can evaluate your specific circumstances to determine return on investment in terms of cost vs. benefit that will help guide purchasing and investment decisions. For example, we can provide evaluations that quantify process efficiency improvements, break-even periods, and life expectancy. All of these factors can affect a decision to make design changes or purchase new equipment, and should be given thorough consideration to get the best returns on investments.
With our extensive background in engineering design, we can evaluate the performance of your existing equipment or systems to determine available alternatives for optimizing designs to improve improve form, fit and/or function. We will recommend a course of action for optimization based on your specific needs and resources. We can also provide design change details for vendors or technical staff to expedite implementation of changes.
To accomplish optimization, we can utilize computer-aided engineering analysis methods such as Finite Element Analysis (FEA) or Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) that is now readily available from a variety of software vendors. In some cases, it may be appropriate to use customized software that has already been developed for specific applications either by the customer or that we have developed to solve other problems. We can develop new software tools if appropriate.
